Sonexis Offers Greater Conferencing Control With New Audio Features

TEWKSBURY, Mass. - May 15, 2006 - ConferenceManager 6.1, the newest version of Sonexis's (www.sonexis.com) audio conferencing bridge, has added new audio conferencing features designed to provide greater conferencing control and security for small- to medium-sized businesses.

According to Dan Massiello, president and CEO of Sonexis, "Small- to medium-sized businesses are operating with distributed teams where rigid 9 to 5 schedules no longer apply. The result is a growing need for high-quality, cost-effective, and secure conferencing that can bring employees together at a moment's notice. That's where Sonexis ConferenceManager 6.1 comes in. This release provides conference hosts and administrators with greater control of each conference through our unique and innovative audio console."

The integrated, Web-based host control panel of Sonexis ConferenceManager now includes ActiveTalker, a feature that visually identifies who is speaking, allowing the conference host to easily moderate the discussion or spot disruptions from noisy connections.

Conference hosts can also instantly create up to 10 sub-conferences off the main audio call and shuffle participants between the main conference and sub-conferences. This feature is especially useful when project teams need to split into groups to discuss project details not relevant to the entire audience.

Sonexis ConferenceManager 6.1 further streamlines system administration with the addition of Microsoft Active Directory Integration, which simplifies the creation and maintenance of users and privileges by allowing administrators to manage Sonexis ConferenceManager accounts through Active Directory.

Sonexis ConferenceManager is installed at hundreds of customer sites, representing tens of thousands of conferencing seats currently in use. Sonexis ConferenceManager enables enterprises to significantly lower conferencing costs, better protect sensitive corporate information, and support more effective communication among employees, customers, and partners. In fact, Sonexis customers have reported reducing their conferencing costs by more than 80 percent following an enterprise-wide deployment of Sonexis ConferenceManager.

Pricing and Availability

The Sonexis ConferenceManager 6.1 base audio conferencing system is available immediately and is priced at less than $950 per port. Current Extended Care customers will receive a free upgrade to the Sonexis ConferenceManager 6.1 base system.
